Company Drivers - Qualifications 

  • At least 22 years old at the time of application.
  • Must have 9 months verifiable tractor/trailer experience in the past 36 months
  • Must hold a valid CDL Class A license issued by the applicant's state of residence.
  • Good driving record.
  • No DWI, DUI, careless or reckless driving convictions in the past 5 years.
  • No hit and run convictions in the past 10 years.

Company Drivers - Pay Packages

National Long-haul Solo Fleet

This is our traditional long haul fleet. It runs the way a long haul operation should, with a long length of haul (average 1,000 miles). We offer two pay packages to better fit your needs. You choose between

more home time or more base pay, whichever works best for you!

*All new hires will receive up to $600 after the first 30,000 miles, but not the week off.

*All new hires must run 60,000 miles to receive first paid vacation, then every 30,000mi thereafter they will receive vacation time plus vacation pay.

All drivers will receive a "bonus" week off and pay if they run 126,000 (solo) miles within the year following their hire date.

Vacation Pay Earned without Hazmat Endorsement

*All new hires will receive $300 after the first 30,000 miles, but not the week off.

*All new hires must run 60,000 miles to receive first paid vacation, then every 30,000mi thereafter they will receive vacation time plus vacation pay.

All drivers will receive a "bonus" week off and pay if they run 126,000 (solo) miles within the year following their hire date.

Without hazmat endorsement there are no seniority vacation pay increases. The vacation pay will be $300 for every 30,000 miles driven regardless of driver’s seniority with company.

National Team

This is a true team operation. It has a long length of haul with mostly drop and hook freight.

Pay

  • 40¢ Base Rate (Split) +
  • 6¢ split bonus on all miles if the team runs 17,000 or more

Total Average Pay of 50¢ (split) Per Mile - Includes vacation, mileage, and safety bonus.

HAZMAT not required
If driver has HAZMAT endorsement, HAZMAT loads pay
an additional 0.03 per mile.

.005¢ per mile (split) or up to $2,800 (split) paid annually

Guaranteed Dock Detention
$15 per hour, after 4 hours, paid in increments of 15 minutes
$150 cap/day (split)

Solo or Team
Celadon has one of the best owner-operator packages in the industry. We do not promise high rates of pay only to take it away in other costs that are charged to the owner. It is a no-nonsense, easy-to-understand package.

Guaranteed Dock Detention Pay

New York City Congestion Fee
$150 for each load delivered in the five boroughs of New York City (Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island) and Long Island.

Single Operators: $2,349 (excluding fuel surcharge)
Team Operators: $4,050 (excluding fuel surcharge)

Single Operators: 2,000 - 3,400 miles
